Abdul Jabbar Koubaisy (Iraq, 29 May 1965) is a Polish businessman from Katowice who became a trustee of the Europe Trust in Markfield, England in 2013. He came to Poland from his birth country Iraq in 1991 and stayed in Poland after marrying with a Polish citizen. Koubaisy is the vice-president and treasurer of Muslim League in Poland and the leader of the local Muslim community in Katowice. The Muslim League in Poland is the Polish member of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe. He is also imam and director of the Doha Islamic Centre in Katowice. Koubaisy is a frequent participant in interfaith dialogue in Poland. |
