Aathivaasiyum Athisayapesiyum is a fourthcoming Tamil dramedy film. It is a remake of the 1980s South African comedy flick, The Gods Must Be Crazy. Comedian actor Senthil will play the lead role of a native. The film will be produced by BBC International (not to be confused with the British Broadcasting Corporation) and is currently in its pre-production stage. Production Casting Meena was originally signed to play the female lead role. However she later dropped out due to her commitment to Kuselan in 2008. The producers reported that they were not able to afford her high salary demand. After many years of retirement from the film industry, Senthil has returned to acting after a long-time commitment to politics. Senthil will be playing the lead role while Vaiyapuri, Mayilsamy, and Ramesh Aravind will also be given roles in the film. |
