Aaron Ringel is the Republican nominee running for House of Delegates in Virginia's 48th District. He is Bob Brink's first challenger since 2003. Ringel announced in April of 2009, promising Brink a "spirited race." Bio Aaron attended the University of Kansas (KU) were he completed a double-major in Political Science and International Affairs. In 2001, while attending KU, he joined the United States Marine Corps. There he trained as a field radio operator with the 24th Marine Regiment. After graduating college, Aaron served six years with the United States Marine Corp Reserves. His service includes an active-duty tour in Iraq where he served in the Al-Anabar province as an Arabic linguist with the 2ND Military Police Battalion. 2009 election Ringel is running against Democratic incumbent Bob Brink, as well as an Independent Green candidate. The election is November 3rd, 2009, which is held with the Virginia Governor's race.
