A.C. Mallet

Anthony "Mallet" Camaletti (also known as A.C. Mallet) is a fictional character on Guiding Light. He has been portrayed by Robert Bogue from April 13, 2005 to September 18, 2009. He was previously played by Mark Derwin from July 5, 1990 until September 28, 1993, and June 1997 until January 1999, with guest appearances from January to March 1997, and April to May 2004.
Character information
A.C. Mallet, a detective of New York, arrived in Springfield on July 5, 1990. He was on the run from the mafia and wanted to rid crime within the town. He soon entered a relationship with Harley Cooper. After nearly dying in an explosion at Towers, he moved in with Harley but their relationship was strained even after becoming engaged. The stress created by the reappearance of her long lost father and his own dangerous past would doom the relationship. Although they married and moved to Florida, Harley divorced him in 1997 after he had an affair with his partner. Years later, the couple would be reunited when she found herself in the prison for which he was the warden. Sharing that time together made them close once again and would cost him his job. He returned to Springfield PD and fell into a fiery relationship with Dinah Marler which was complicated by his continued involvement with Harley. Even after the two broke it off, his relationship with Dinah was erratic and involved deep problems of trust. While Dinah was forced to leave him at the altar, the couple reunited and seems intent on putting their troubled pasts behind them. However, their relationship was not meant to be at the time and he began dating Marina Cooper after his divorce, a fellow cop at the police station. In 2009, he and Marina got married but were forced to deal with the return of her ex-boyfriend Shayne Lewis, who began dating Dinah. After adopting Henry with Marina, a child from Bosnia, it was soon revealed that Shayne and his girlfriend Lara were the biological parents. Mallet left town after realizing that Marina still loved Shayne and annulled their marriage because he didn't want his son to have two fathers, and left Marina to raise their son Henry with Shayne. He is in a relationship with Dinah again and living with her somewhere in Europe.
