A W Neill Middle School is an important school in Port Alberni. It is named after A W Neill a local politician. History Programs Students at A W Neill are offered instruction in the standard curriculum prescribed by the provincial Ministry of Education. The School offers a number of innovative programs including a series of exploratory courses such as Technology Education, Music, First Nations’ Studies, Boat Pro (students who successfully pass the test will receive their Provincial Boating License); and Home Economics (cooking and sewing).
