A Sad Day on Pluto

A Sad Day on Pluto is the debut album by . All songs except Maddy the Mermaid (recorded in a small college owned studio at Ashland University) were recorded in Cleveland, OH at Metrosync Studios. It was released by World IN Sound in 2007.

Style and themes
The album features fourteen songs, twelve of which are shorter in length and pop oriented, while the title track and Rahmed are longer, experimental instrumentals. Overall reviews of the album are positive, however, critics have been divided over which aspects they prefer, some enjoying the more infectious pop songs, while others prefer the harder edged instrumentals. Some critics have complained over the inclusion of the song Maddy the Mermaid which is notably different than the rest of the album as it was recorded when the Illiad was still primarily a duo featuring Kyle Pittman, Andy Cyphert and guest musicians.

Single
The songs Are You a Librarian? and Bandstand & Hedges were made available through the bands Myspace page in promotion of the album. The album version of Are You a Librarian? was to be included on the Trip-in-Time VOL. 2 sampler, but due to miscommunication the original demo version was used instead.
