A Plea for Purging is a Christian metal band from Nashville, Tennessee. They released their debut album, A Critique of Mind and Thought, on October 2, 2007. History A Plea for Purging were formed in Nashville in 2005. They released their debut album, Critique of Mind and Thought in 2007 and played over 200 shows in under a year. The band is recognized for their on stage behavior, heavy breakdowns, and high-end solos. They have been known to actually breathe fire during performances, notably while playing at Cornerstone Festival in 2007. Drawing influences from bands like Iron Maiden and Dragonforce, the band wastes no time proving their instrumental skill in the metal/deathcore scene. Currently, the band is residing on location in Kentucky writing for their much anticipated sophomore album for Facedown Records.
