3 Generations

Generations is a non-profit organization founded by Jane Wells that supports survivors of genocide and crimes against humanity by helping them share their stories. 3 Generations believes that storytelling heals individuals who share their experiences and rebuilds the cultures that genocide obliterates. 3 Generations was inspired in part by the work of Jane Wells' father, Sidney Bernstein, who filmed the Allied Forces liberating the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in April 1945 and made a documentary film with his footage, Memories from the Camps.
In 2007, 3 Generations partnered with Global Grassroots in making the Break Thru Films documentary, The Devil Came on Horseback, about former U.S. Marine Brian Steidle's experience as an African Union military observer in Darfur.
Currently, 3 Generations is supporting film and storytelling projects working with survivors in Bosnia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cambodia, and Zimbabwe.
