28th SEA Games

The 28th SEA Games, also known as the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, is the largest sporting event in Southeast Asia. The venue for these games has not been determined and will be announced at the conclusion of the screening process. There are 3 countries considered as front runners for this bid. The winner will be announced in mid-2012, almost a year after the 2011 Southeast Asian Games. These games will be held at Bandung, and Semarang, Indonesia.
Potential Bids

Brunei Darussalam last hosted the SEAG on 1999. The country hosted 21 games, most of which are Olympic sports.

Philippines became the host of 3 Southeast Asian Games - namely the 1981, 1991 and 2005 editions. POC President Jose Peping Cojuangco said the committee has already been preparing the proposal of the country to bid for this edition since, according to him, all the Southeast Asian countries want to bid for this edition.

Vietnam hosted the SEAG last 2003 where it was the over-all champion. It tried to bid for the 2013 Southeast Asian Games but withdrew afterwards.
