24translate is a primarily internet based provider of multilingual translation services headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. Company 24translate GmbH was founded in 1999 by its managing directors/CEOs Marc-Christian Rossig and Lone Colding Wolf and has since expanded to include branches in Switzerland (since 2002), Italy (since 2006) and Canada (2011) as well as dedicated websites for customers in France and the United States. The company has approximately a hundred employees throughout Europe and furthermore relies upon the services of over 7,000 freelance translators worldwide, according to the company's website. Services Introduced in Germany in 2000,, its pioneering service lets the customer upload material to be translated via their website. Most translations are then carried out by freelancers.
