The 2038 FIFA World Cup will be the 26th edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. According to Dr. Thompson, as part of the long-term development plan, Ghana plans to host international events like the World Cup and Olympic Games. As part of the 40-year development plan, a new stadium called the "Black Star Stadium" will be constructed with the "best 21st Century technology while the roof would be made up of solar panels". The stadium will be connected to road and rail networks. Additionally, Ghana has not hosted a FIFA World Tournament or the Olympic Games in its 60-year history. Expressed interest in bidding A number of sources are claiming that China or Australia could bid for the 2038 FIFA World Cup. China China has not yet hosted any FIFA World Cups, but has their sights set on either the 2034 FIFA World Cup or the 2038 FIFA World Cup. Australia Australia has never hosted a FIFA World Cup, but according to the Roar, is said to be speculating on a future bid.
