The 2025 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) was to be a postseason single-elimination tournament of NCAA Division I basketball teams. The CIT planned to employ a sixteen-team pod-based format for the . Each four-team pod would have been contested as a classic, hosted at on-campus sites by each pod's highest seed. Each classic was to be named in honor of a legendary college basketball coach (Hugh Durham, Lou Henson, John McLendon, Jim Phelan) and will award a trophy to the victorious team and name a most valuable player. The four classic winners would have advanced to the tournament semifinals. The semifinals and final would have been hosted in an on-campus venue by the highest remaining seed. however, no participating teams were ever announced, and the schedule that had previously appeared on the website was rendered blank. Although no formal announcement was issued, the prevailing thought was that the inception of the sixteen-team College Basketball Crown had a trickle-down effect on other postseason tournaments, culminating with an overall lack of teams remaining that wished to continue their season.
