Of the 10 skydivers on the plane, 9 managed to jump to safety; 2 sustained serious injuries, 2 recieved light injuries, and the other 5 survivers were unhurt. The plane burst into flames on impact, killing the pilot and the last skydiver. The four injured parachutists were all Spanish, whilst the killed skydiver was British.
Honda Advert Involvement
The day before the accident, EC-JXH, the aircraft involved, was taking part in a live Honda advert, aired on Channel 4. The advert was a part of Honda's "Difficult is worth doing" campaign, and featured 16 skydivers spelling out the letters of "Honda" individually. In a statement released by Honda, it was confirmed that none of the skydivers in the accident were connected with the filming of the advert.
