On 19 January 2008, a Beechcraft Super King Air crashed on a mountain near Bailundo, Angola, killing all 13 people on board. Accident Operated by Gira Globo Aeronáutica, the Beechcraft B200 Super King Air was making a domestic passenger flight in Angola from Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Luanda to Huambo Airport in Huambo. On approach to Huambo Airport over mountainous terrain in rainy, foggy conditions requiring instrument flying, the aircraft apparently flew too low and crashed into a mountain near Bailundo, killing both crew members and all 11 passengers on board. No fire ensued.<ref name="asn"/> Aircraft The aircraft was a twin-engine Beechcraft B200 Super King Air, manufacturer's serial number BB-1026.<ref name="asn"/> It had first flown in 1981 and was registered as D2-FFK.<ref name="asn"/>
