12 Minutes to Heaven

12 Minutes to Heaven is a Tripy-Romantic Comedy to be released Independetly through Kamakazi Films sometime in 2009. Based on the theory that the brain stays alive for 6 to 12 minutes after death. The film explores themes of Fame, pop-culture obsession, Method Acting, Suicide, Two actors in love, and the journey through the "last 12 minutes of brain activity before death. Written and Directed by Evan Davis, and Lauren Forbes. The film stars Evan Davis, Sofia Mendez, Andrew Brett, Wes Linnenbank, Delilah A. Alexander, Tara Bostwick Larry Kuciemba and Lauren Forbes. .

Plot

The story follows two actors in love. Sal Watkins is a Method Acting teacher in Houston, TX. Judy Rayne the biggest Reality TV star in the world on her hit show Suddenly 16. Sal writes a screenplay about his love life with Judy to get her attention. The plan backfires and Sal accidently commits suicide. He is sent to Eternal Therapy where he meets other "lost souls". Sal escapes and makes a deal with a "soul collector" that if he can go back inside his mind and get a "real kiss" from Judy in 12 minutes then he can go to Heaven. If he fails his soul will disappear..

Eternal Therapy is a place for misguided souls. In 2006 there was an Eternal Therapy Infomercial filmed for the character Dr. Richards portrayed by actor (Wes Linnenbank). The infomercial is now playing on FunnyOrDie.
