Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) is an American transportation company based in North Canton, Ohio. The company operates across the United States and Canada and is primarily involved in the transport of bulk liquid products through its fleet of tanker trucks.
History
The Kenan Advantage Group was established in 2001 after the Advantage Management Group acquired the Kenan Transport Company.
In 2010, Goldman Sachs and Centerbridge Partners purchased KAG from Littlejohn & Co. for $720 million. OMERS Private Equity purchased the company from Goldman and Centerbridge in 2015.
OMERS Private Equity considered an initial public offering for the company in 2024.
KAG began expanding into the dry bulk transportation market with the acquisition of Northern Dry Bulk in February 2024 . By March 2025, the company had acquired three more dry bulk carriers—PRM Trucking, XBL Holdings, and Evergreen Transport.
