Arun Kumar S Haripad (born 30 May 1980) is an Indian poet, Author, lyricist and public speaker. He is known for his works in English and Malayalam poetry. He works as a lecturer in English at the Vocational Higher Secondary department. He is the state president of 'Ee Yugam Literary and Cultural Association', editor at 'Darppanam Magazine' and President of Uvakalasahiti Haripad.
Early life and education
Arun Kumar was born to L. Jayasree and retired educator V.N. Sivasankara Pillai. He pursued an MA, BEd, SET, PhD, and a bachelor's degree in law.
Career
His debut publication, Sudarshanam, a collection of Malayalam poems, garnered him attention from literary enthusiasts.
His book "Novu – a collection of Malayalam poems" was launched by the education minister V. Sivankutty during a ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. This book is written to assist the individuals affected by landslides in Wayanad. The proceeds will be allocated to impoverished individuals in Wayanad.
Sudarshanam, Good Vision, Truth Goodness, and Beauty Behind Love are some of his best poem collections. Atmayanathinte Kavita even has its own CD.
He wrote and produced his other video CD "Ente Nagaripuresan – Sri Krishna devotional songs". On March 24, 2024, the CD was officially handed in the temple, with Member of Parliament A. M. Ariff delivering it to Haripad Municipal chairman K.K. Ramakrishnan.
