ZP Theart

ZP Theart (born January 22, 1975 in Clanwilliam, South Africa) is the vocalist for British power metal band DragonForce. Little is known about his personal life/biography.

Theart joined the band after bandmates Herman Li and Sam Totman saw his advertisement in Metal Hammer. Li said that "He was the first guy we met who could actually sing what he said he could."

According to his DragonForce profile, his influences and idols are "Bon Jovi, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Skid Row, Tesla, 80s hard rock, soft rock, glam rock etc.," as well as "Anything providing it's got nice melodies and it's played on real instruments!"

Theart also sang in Sam Totman's "side project" Shadow Warriors.

Also, according to his profile page on the DragonForce website, ZP plays acoustic guitar.

ZP possesses the countertenor vocal range giving him great power and volume at unbelievably high registers. Examples of which are heard at various points during most DragonForce songs, but most notably on the tracks "Operation Ground and Pound," "Starfire," and an incredible display of voice in "Valley Of the Damned."

According to his profile his signature stage move is "Fucking Swearing".
