ZOOZA

ZOOZA is a British internet retailer based at the UCL Advances Student Hatchery in Bloomsbury, London. It was founded by UCL student and young entrepreneur Tim Yusupov. Focussing on electronics, ZOOZA operates on the One deal a day model, offering a single product each day at a heavily discounted price. The product changes at noon and lasts until stock runs out. Each product featured on the site is presented with an idiosyncratic, light-hearted description.
Launch
To celebrate its launch, ZOOZA staged a first-come-first-served giveaway of 100 USB Humping Dogs. To promote this giveaway the ZOOZA team engaged in acts of guerilla marketing, sneaking into student fairs and dorms in universities across London to put out provocative fliers featuring a picture of a dog with the straplin "Sex Sells - So Do Cute Puppies".
Meanwhile, online deal seeking communities, such as MoneySavingExpert.com, learnt of the giveaway and drove traffic flow to the site.
