Zach Varga (born March 30, 1984 in Mountville, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player, currently without a club. Career College Varga attended Hempfield High School played college soccer at Duquesne University from 2002 to 2006. After redshirting in his freshman year, Varga went on to become the cornerstone of Duquesne's team, being named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in 2003, to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team in 2004, and being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He is Duquesne's career leader in goals against average, at 0.78. He also played with the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League in 2006. Professional Varga turned professional in 2008 when he signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds upon their return to the USL Second Division. He made his professional debut on April 25, 2008 in a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace Baltimore, and was the 'Hounds first choice keeper throughout the year.
