Yussuf Hassan

Yussuf Hassan (born on June 12, 1960) is a Somalian writer. He writes schoolbooks for children from 6 years and is also writing literature for adult and teenages. Yussuf wrote Dalagga Iyo Dunyada in 1989 which was his first and biggest book. He is also a Teacher in Gullinge Skolan, north Stockholm. He is Married and has five children Ifrah, Munira, Muna, Mahad and Mustafe.

Early Life

At the age of 9, Yussuf began to sing and make his own children Poetry. He was born in a Farm Family with many siblings in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. When he was 10 years old he travelled to Boroma, SomaliLand and graduated Secondary School at Cabdullaahi Suldaan Timacadde in Gabile. In 1982,Yussuf travelled to Mugadisho, Somalia and he began the Somali National University Gahayr which he graduated as a Lawyer in The Comercial Law. In 1994 he travelled to Sweden and became a Teacher in Gullinge Skolan, North Stockholm. Yussuf married Halima Hassan in 1991 and now he lives with his wife and five children in Stockholm.

Yussuf has been lecturing in discussions in sweden and outside sweden like Britain and Djibouti. He has also been in Radio, Tv shows and news.
