Yung VL

Brendon Martin, better known by his stage name Yung V.L. or Lil Brotha, is an American rapper in the group Da Block Burnaz and founder of record label Yung Ent Records. He began his solo career in 2001 and formed the V.L. Boys in 2009 with his long time friend Alex" A.E." Edwards and his two brothers Mark "Milly" Humphries and Paris "Ducky" Harris.
Biography
Yung VL was born Brendon Joesph Matthew Martin and grew up in the 13th Ward neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Martin enrolled in the gifted program of Lafayette Elementary School and in the drama club of Eleanor McMain Secondary School. He wrote his first rap song at age eight. At age nine, he met Bryan Williams, rapper and owner of Cash Money Records. Yung V.L. recorded freestyle raps on Williams' answering machine; Williams would eventually mentor the young Martin and include him in Cash Money-distributed songs. But signed with Cash Money Records eventually but went separate ways with the company after the beef with record label mate Gudda and Squad Up.
Beef
In 2002, Yung V.L. was in beef with local New Orleans group 9th Ward Boyz, which brought tension between 13th Ward and 9th Ward neighborhoods, the five rappers didn't end the beef until one of the 9th Ward Boyz got shoot in a teen club over the beef.
In 2005, Yung V.L. and his brothers got into a beef with their label mates Squad Up( Gudda Gudda, T Streets, Nutt, Mario) over a radio interview Squad Up did dissing the Da Block Burnaz ( Yung V.L., Milly, Ice, A.E.). The beef would last till end of year of 2008 went Squad Up and Da Bllock Burnaz performed together on stage at the House of Blues in New Orleans, La.
In early 2009 Yung V.L. was the target of a diss record made by unsigned rap group 'Da U Boys' for rap artist for not signing to Fly Society. And split from Block Burnaz because Milly,Ducky wanted solo careers and said dats the reason for the group for breaking up. Yung V.L. suggested that the song "Do It Myself" was not a diss record to former group members Milly,Ducky but was to Da U Boys. Rumors speculate there will be Da Block Burnaz reunion be Yung V.L. denies that and he said he will be coming out with an song with artist Jade, Milly, Ice, A.E.
