YouLicense

YouLicense was an online music licensing marketplace created by Maor Ezer and Ohad Ezer and later joined by additional partners Asaf Cohen and Tomer Kaplan.
YouLicense.com was launched in May 2007 as a new music licensing solution online and was recognized by leading technology bloggers (Techcrunch, Mashable) as the future of the music industry.
YouLicense was an international provider of online music licensing solutions, enabling music rights-holders, and companies and individuals seeking music licenses, to conduct business with one another, directly, simply, and securely.
YouLicense provided licensing for independent artists, labels, publishers and other content owners for music, film, television, advertising, and video games. Additionally, YouLicense aimed to lead the global music industry in developing and monetizing the emerging field of long-tail music licensing, consisting of "media pro-sumers" producer consumers) seeking music licenses for a range of digital and non-commercial usages such as wedding DVDs, live events, in-store music, photo slideshows, videos, presentations and many other uses.
The company operated www.YouLicense.com, an open online licensing marketplace for independent artists and companies, including record labels and publishers. YouLicense.com hosted over 20,000 music licensing stores, and 350,000 music recordings, and had millions of music streams and thousands of deals since launch.
As of April 2018, the website is no longer operational, and the company seems to have ceased operations.
Private Label Licensing Marketplace
YouLicense designed, built, and maintained private label branded online licensing marketplaces for companies with large music catalogues. Clients for its private label solutions included APM Music's Indie Music Initiative, the world's largest production music company, jointly owned by Universal Music and EMI Music, and many of the leading digital music distributors, including INgrooves, Iris Distribution, Big Fish Media, mBop Digital and many others.
YouLicense offered a custom private label solution for larger companies aside from the automated sign up private label solution targeted at independent composers, music libraries and local publishers.
Financing
YouLicense raised a pre-seed investment in May 2007 of $100K from private investor and Logia Group a leading mobile technology company.
YouLicense secured a seed investment in April 2008 of $1m led by Ofer Media Investments and the Logia Group
