Yolande Milan Batteau is an American representational and abstract painter and designer born on January 30, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Batteau studied philosophy and painting at the Sorbonne in Paris, San Francisco Art Institute, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She is the daughter of singer-songwriter David Batteau. She is the niece composer Robin Batteau. Career Since 1992, Yolande's work has appeared in Elle Decor, ARTnews, Veranda, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Vogue, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, and Surface. She owns Callidus Guild, formed in 1998, with whom she has created commissions for Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co. interior designers, architects and residential clients. In 2006, Callidus Guild launched CG Wallpaper to better serve the needs of their international clients by designing a selection of Callidus Guild’s signature finishes for paper.
