Yashvi Aware (born 25 August 1993 in New Delhi, India) is an Indian-American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Earth United States. She will represent the United States in the Miss Earth 2018 pageant. Life and career Aware was born on August 25, 1993 in New Delhi, India. She speaks English, Hindi, and French fluently. She is currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at George Washington University and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Maryland. She also works at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research as part of psychological researchers for the well-being of the soldiers. Pageantry Miss Maryland Teen USA 2011 Aware was formerly Miss Maryland Teen USA 2011 2nd runner-up to eventual winner, Kirsten Nicholson. Miss Earth United States In 2016, Aware represented Maryland in Miss Earth United States 2016 pageant in Washington, D.C. and placed Top 10. Prior to the competition, she won the Miss College Park scholarship pageant in 2015. In 2018, she competed once again and represented the Mid-Atlantic region. She eventually won the title Miss Earth United States 2018 during the pageant finale held on July 14, 2018 in Alexandria, Virginia. Her prizes include an opportunity to walk in New York Fashion Week and undergo The Climate Reality Project leadership training. Miss Earth 2018 Aware will represent the United States in the Miss Earth 2018 pageant in the Philippines.
