YAFT is a modern English-language acronym for several different and distinct things: * YAFT: Yet Another Freaking Thing is an additional task that is piled on top of the existing work load of some overworked, poor, hapless worker (typically) in a large corporate or organizational environment. * YAFT: Yet Another Forum Tool designed with simplicity and clarity in mind. * YAFT: Yet Another Free T-shirt. These YAFTs are typically obtained as promotional material. * YAFT: Yet Another Firewall Tool is a front end for configuring iptables based firewalls in Linux. All versions of YAFT are relatively modern terms that are quickly becoming part of common vocabulary. YAFT is a notable addition to the English language because it is one of the first acronyms outside of hacker jargon that uses yet another as a way of padding out an acronym. |
