Xennial is a term derived from two generations, Generation X & Millennial, for a small sub generation that has characteristics of both (also known as Generation Catalano ). The Xennial generation can generally be defined as anyone born between late 1977 to late 1982.
Known as the 'Lucky Ones', this group fared better during the 2008/2009 Global Recession because they had enough time to establish themselves in jobs and did not have time to acquire many assets that could have been lost with the market downturn. They grew up during a time of transition between more analog technology and digital, with an understanding of both. They knew a world without access to computers and can remember living in elements of the Cold War like Generation X. Yet they can be just as connected to technology as the Millennial Generation.
