World Inter School Rope Skipping Organisation also known as WIRSO (https://www.interschoolropeskipping.org) was founded by Harpal Singh Flora (then Vice President of International Rope Skipping Federation, President of Asian Rope Skipping Federation and also President of Rope Skipping Federation of India in 2014. There was an age gap and at that time Rope Skipping tournaments were limited to just once a year World and Continental on alternate years. There were no any specific event for youngsters. Harpal Singh Flora wanted to "catch them (players) young" before they decide to choose a sport for his/her future. He formed organisation World Rope Skipping Council and the name was changed in 2015 to World Inter School Rope Skipping Organisation. Message was clear that the organisation will work for School Students only and would not be a threat to any other Rope Skipping / Jump Rope organisation. There was no any affiliation option for National Federations or any other organisations. There was opposition for the organisation at Board meeting of International Rope Skipping Federation but then President Bram Harssens supported the concept. First World Inter School Rope Skipping Championship was held at Dubai in November 2015. Second World Inter School Rope Skipping Championship 17-21 April 2017, Eger, Hungary.
