World Book of Records

World Book of Records (WBR) is a London based organization that verifies, records and awards authentic world records across the globe with its certificate. It also honours renowned social activists and famous celebrities.
About
It was founded by ex-advocate of Supreme Court of India, Santosh Shukla and has offices in UK, United States, India and Australia. The chairman of the organization is Diwakar Sukul and patrons of the organization are Virendra Sharma, a British Labour Party MP of Indian origin, Indian National Congress leader Rajeev Shukla, Canada based social activist Amrit Dhar and Austria based social activist Karin Heschl.
Honours
World Book of Records has honoured or felicitated more than 130 renowned personalities such as music director Bappi Lahri, singer Daler Mahendi, ex-Chief Minister of Gujarat and Governor of Madhya Pradesh Anandi Ben Patel etc.
Notable records
The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) claimed its spot in world book of records as it organized a mega convention attended by about 1 million people. The event was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Indian comedian and actor Kapil Sharma was acknowledged as the most viewed stand-up comedian in India and abroad.
The Golden Temple in Amritsar, India was awarded as the most visited place of the world. As per the temple management, every day more than one lakh devotees visited to seek blessings.

Sammilan Shetty’s butterfly park located near Belvai of Moodbidri-DK entered into world book of records for their conservation work and hosting awareness programmes. The park is spread over 7.35 acres and hosts more than 147 species of butterfly.
Dr. Praveen Tiwari registered in World Book of Records as he became the first person in the world to successfully complete PhD on political cartoons.
Pune based runner Shaswat Shukla set a world record as he became the fastest man to run barefoot for 15 kilometers within an hour.
Pradeep Sasane of Belagavi created record by directly looking into the sun continuously for ten minutes without wearing sunglasses.
Panipat (Haryana), district administration created a world record on International Women’s day by organizing Panipat Pinkathon in which 55,498 women participated. It was the largest gathering on women’s day.
Dr. K L Dhingra and his wife Dr. Neelam Dhingra registered in world book of records for being the “First Couple conferred with doctorate degree on the same day”. They also appeared in the entrance examination on the same day.
A women organization in Jaipur created world record by performing Ghoomar in one place for 31 minutes. In all, there were 3003 women present at the event.
Kota, Rajasthan based Revenue Appellate Authority, Pankaj Kumar Ojha registered his name in world book of records for delivering 107 decisions in a single day. The cases were pending in court since many years.
