Woodcote House School

Woodcote House School is a boys preparatory school based in Windlesham, Surrey. The school admits both boarding and day pupils, with around a third of boys arriving via bus from West London and South West London. Founded in 1854, it has been run by the Paterson family since 1931.
A small institution, it has approximately 100 pupils at any given time, aged 7 to 13, and prepares boys to take the Common Entrance exam for senior English public schools.
Profile
Set in 30 acres of grounds, Woodcote House is a non-denominational school affiliated to the Church of England. Admission is through an informal interview, followed by an assessment and taster day. Sport is timetabled for every day, and most pupils also learn at least one musical instrument. Other student activities include a 'Turf Club' consisting of boys who each have a share in a racehorse.<ref name=tatler />
Alumni
Old boys include Royal Navy officers Martyn Jerram and Archibald Cochrane, the World War I flying ace Henry Evans and musician Roger Hodgson, best known as the founder and frontman of Supertramp.
