Women pioneers

*Édith Cresson (born on 27 January 1934). She was the first and so far only woman to have held the office of Prime Minister of France.
*Frances Perkins (April 10, 1880 - May 14, 1965) - U.S. Secretary of Labor from 1933 to 1945. The first woman appointed to the U.S. Cabinet.
*Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo ( January 18, 1930 - July 10, 2004) - Prime Minister of Portugal from August 1st, 1979 to January 3rd, 1980. The first woman (and so far the only one) to serve as Prime Minister of Portugal. The third woman to serve as Prime Minister in Europe, after Margaret Thatcher, UK and Édith Cresson, France.
*Margaret Thatcher (born 13 October 1925). She was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990 and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990. She is the only woman to have held either post.
