The WiSmart Energy is a Wi-Fi smart meter that can be installed into the panel board or on any electrical device, and record the energy consumption of the home or of the individual device. In order to send the data to the main server, there is no need for additional gateways: the WiSmart Energy connects directly to the home router and securely sends the data over the existing network. The data are stored at main servers and are presented graphically in charts and tables in a way that the user can monitor the energy consumption from anywhere in the world. WiSmart Energy also supports other methods for data monitoring such as Google PowerMeter and Pachube. One of the main advantages compared to other wireless smart meters is the native support for TCP/IP, SNMP and other protocols. 802.11i protocol is fully supported as well making WiSmart the most secure wireless smart meter available today avoiding all the ZigBee security vulnerabilities. |
