The Windsor Cricket Club was formed in 1995 as a merger between Windsor Victoria and Windsor and Eton Cricket Clubs. This makes Windsor one of the newest cricket clubs in the Thames Valley Area but still maintaining a rich history inherited from the two previous clubs. The club plays its home games at the Home Park, Windsor. With the world famous Windsor Castle in the background it is regarded as one of the most scenic cricket grounds in the country. As one of the premier sporting identities within the town, the club boasts a royal connection in HRH Prince Philip as its patron. On a Saturday the club runs five teams in the Thames Valley League, the 1st XI currently play in 1st Division. Two teams run on a Sunday in league competition in the Maidenhead Advertiser Sunday League. The club also runs junior and colts teams from under 10's through to under 17's. The current Club Captain is Chris Smith and 1st XI Captain is Wes Nichols.
