Wimbledon Common parkrun

Wimbledon Common parkrun (formerly Wimbledon Common Time Trial) is a 5 km run that takes place every Saturday morning at 9am in Wimbledon Common, Merton. It has taken place every week since January 6 2007. It is entirely run by volunteers, and is free to enter.

History
Wimbledon Common parkrun was introduced by parkrun (at the time called UK Time Trials) to expand the event network after the success of the Bushy parkrun. After 15 events, the male course record holder is Kojo Kyereme of Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers with a time of 15 minutes 24 seconds. The female record holder is Emma Bradley of local club Wimbledon Windmilers. Her time is 18 minutes 25 seconds. As of April 14th, 325 people have completed Wimbledon Common parkrun.

Wimbledon Common parkrun changed its name from Wimbledon Common Time Trial in October 2008.
