William Seeman is a boat builder and inventor. Seemann invented C-flex, a semi rigid woven fiberglass cloth. Its invention made custom and semi-custom fiberglass construction much easier, and numerous IOR racing boats were built using C-flex. A further invention was SCRIMP (Seeman Composites Resin Infusion Process), a process by which dry fiberglass cloth is filled with plastic resin, creating a tough and reliable fiberglass part. Other resin infusion processes have been invented, both before and after SCRIMP, but none are as commercially successful. Seemann currently runs Seeman Composites in Gulfport, Mississippi.
