The Western Cyprus Travel Guide, also known as George's Guide to Western Cyprus, is an independent publication by Echosix, a content provider, for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It is sponsored by Cap St Georges Villa Club. It is notable as being the only high quality electronic guide to the area at the time of writing, and therefore of genuine use to visitors, who often find themselves confined to tourist locations through lack of information or independent recommendations. Designed as a non-profit making venture to promote the Western Cyprus area, it contains reviews, often witty, of a number of venues, activities and destinations. It was soft-launched in English in February 2011, and re-released in both English (v1.02) and Russian (v1.0) in March 2011. A pdf version is expected to follow shortly. For now, there is no charge to download it from the iTunes App Store. |
