Wendy Hurrell

Wendy Louise Hurrell (born 24 May 1982) is an English television presenter currently working as a weather and arts presenter BBC London.
Early life
Hurrell was born in Norfolk and grew up in Filby near Great Yarmouth. She graduated with a BA in Media Communications Goldsmiths College, London.
Personal life
Wendy hobbies include hockey, singing for a soul and funk band and learning Spanish.Has a daughter called FreyaIn October 2013 her London home was burgled and including the items taken was gold jewellery that had great sentimental value to her. On 22 April 2019 Wendy announced on Twitter that back in September 2018 her mother had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
Broadcasting career
She started broadcasting on Broadland 102FM radio station in Norwich.
Hurrell then moved to Anglia Television in 2003 as a production journalist. She moved to the weather team in 2004 to cover for Sara Thornton's maternity leave.
In 2007 she presented the Anglia programme Bygones with Eddie Anderson.
In September 2008 she moved to London to join the BBC, where she now presents the regional weather forecast on BBC Breakfast and BBC London News. She also announces the weather forecast on BBC London 94.9.
In an episode of BBC Inside Out: London that aired 9 January 2012, Wendy gave up alcohol for a month and interviewed medics and patients affected by liver problems.
