The Weekly Prekshit also named The Weekly Prekkhit’' () is a Bengali language newspaper published from Dhaka, Bangladesh since 1991. Its first Chief Editor was Alhaj Azizur Rahman Chowdhury, successor of zamindar of Bamai parganas 24 and 25 of Habiganj since its inception in 1991 until his death in December 10, 2001. it is published in 8-pages, has its front page and the last page printed in color while other pages are in black and white. It was published in magazine, tabloid and broadsheet sizes time to time as experimental basis earlier. Once it was very a popular vernacular newspaper for hot political as well as exclusive news, reports and stories on politics and administration. This newspaper had to succumb many threats from powerful quarters. Its office situated at Maghbazar, Dhaka. The publication has several segments of presentation: * Editorial, * Chithipotro, * Politics, * Economy, * Columns, * Interviews, * Jela Porichiti, * Bangladeshe Biniog Korun, * Golpo, * Kobita. Editor At present editor of Preksit is M Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury , a prominent journalist, who has been the President of Overseas Correspondents Association Bangladesh (OCAB), First Joint Secretary General of Commonwealth Journalists Association, Bangladesh. Mokhles Chowdhury was also the Press Secretary to the President of Bangladesh Iajuddin Ahmed and finally the Adviser of the President of Bangladesh with the rank and status of Minister of State.
