WAYVE

Working Against Youth Violence Everyone (WAYVE) is a group/club designed to prevent issues with youth such as bullying and cyber-bullying, harassment, racism and discrimination, youth suicide, self-harm and gang violence. WAYVE team members try to educate and create awareness of the issues at hand and often visits schools and shares stories of bullying and how it affects people.
Who is WAYVE
The WAYVE team consists entirely of youth volunteers from several high schools in Waterloo Region/Cambridge area (Ontario). The WAYVE team is supported mainly by guidance counsellors but also obtains support from other staff members in their schools. WAYVE is also supported by a Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) facilitator.
