Warren Toews (born December 5, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs of the Chinook Hockey League. Toews attended the University of Alberta where he played five seasons (1998 - 2003) of Canadian Interuniversity Sport hockey with the Alberta Golden Bears in the CWUAA conference, helping the Golden Bears to win the national title in both 1999 and 2000. He went on to play two seasons of professional hockey in the ECHL where he skated with both the Texas Wildcatters and Peoria Rivermen. At the end of the 2004-05 ECHL season, Toews scored his second and final goal as a professional, which was also the last regulation time goal for the Peoria franchise in its ECHL history. Toews continues to play senior men’s hockey with the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs of the Chinook Hockey League.
