WAND Pepsi Sports Challenge

The WAND Pepsi Sports Challenge is a regular feature on WAND news broadcasts where members of the Central Illinois Community take on WAND broadcasters in various competitive events. The feature was created by and originally he and Jonathan Nilles participated. After Nilles left the station, he was replaced in the challenges by new sportscaster, Matt Loveless. Generally both current sportscasters take on the members of the public, but occasionally one sportscaster is able to participate.
Format
The typical challenge starts with the news anchors standing in front of a television. They give a brief description of the upcoming challenge and then throw it over to the prerecorded feature. Each challenge features one of the sportscaster as the narrator. The challenge generally begins with a brief description of the event that is about to take place and interviews with the participants. They then play the event, followed by another interview with the contestants.
