Walls (EP)

Walls is the fifth overall release and fourth extended play (EP) by Australian art rock band the Red Paintings. Released on 23 May 2005, the seven-track EP was their first for Brisbane-based label Modern Music and was distributed by Sony BMG. It was received with praise and favourable critical reviews.
Critical response
Walls was well received by Sputnikmusic, and featured in their "Staff Picks" list. Staff reviewer Jom praised the band for producing "arguably the most remarkable EP of 2005" and summarised the album as a "phenomenal EP that defines The Red Paintings' stellar musicianship".
The Sydney Morning Heralds Bernard Zuel, described the EP as "psychedelia the way it's meant to be" and likened them to the Decemberists and Arcade Fire.
