History
Drew Dockerill and AJ Larson both lived in the same dorm during their freshman year at Florida State University. Their similar interest in music encouraged them to hang out in each other's rooms and write music. At the start of their sophomore year in college they recruited drummer Gavin Hawley and played shows around Tallahassee. The three piece band called Eastwood, who focused mainly on playing reggae, caught the eyes of many people in the local scene. Drew and AJ eventually felt that some changes needed to be made to the lineup. In need of a more talented and dedicated drummer, as well as a lead guitarist, Drew asked around to see who he could find. His close friend Evan Scott mentioned Derek Hall when he was asked if he knew any drummers. Evan had heard Derek's old band play and recommended the tight drummer. Drew got in contact with Derek and he (a freshman at the time) accepted the offer. Rafael Britto was Hall's roommate during their freshman year at FSU. When Drew and AJ arrived to Derek's dorm room to show him some of the songs to give Derek an idea of what was to come, Rafael stepped in with some ideas for the songs. Because of that, Rafael was also asked to join the band as the lead guitarist.
