Vyom

Vyom is the Annual Technical festival of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. The festival spreads over three days and attracts participation from various major colleges of the country. In the year 2012, it is scheduled from 23 to 25 March 2012.
Etymology
The word Vyom means vast and full of innumerable possibilities.

Workshops and Lectures
Apart from the events, the festival will also have various lectures and workshops by eminent speakers of the country.
VYOM 2012
VYOM 2012 promises to grow along the longitude and be back with a new enthralling level of excitement and surprises by offering unimaginable prospects to those who wish to reach the zenith of technical perfection through talks and seminars from the leading lights in various fields, mind-boggling exhibitions and nerve-racking competitions, both offline and online (at E-VYOM).
VYOM 2011
VYOM 2011 was a congregation of bright young technical minds from around the country who ventured into new vistas and imbibed from the pool of noesis. It provided a scintillating platform to all the budding minds of the country who believe in challenging convention and using technology for a better tomorrow. The fest included workshops on 3D animation, Android Development, Autonomous Robotics, Green Add, Matlab and Image Processing, Ornithopter, RC Hovercraft Design. It also included lectures by the internationally acclaimed Indian computer security consultant Ankit Fadia, Scientist in Central Building Research Institute Roorkee(India) Dr. Achal Mittal, Founding Director of Software Technology Parks of India Mr. P.S. Narotra and the renowned technocrat Warren Brian Noronha. Other attractions included Exhibitions (Interactive Floor, Roboshow and TBRL-DRDO) and Mega-Shows (Aero Show, Laser show, Sand animation Show).
Hospitality
All the arrangements for the participants from other parts of the country will be done at the campus of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
Organisation
Vyom is a student driven initiative under the aegis of the esteemed faculty of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
