Virtual Family Kingdom, also known simply as VFK, will be a free massively multiplayer online game run by Narasopa Media. The game will feature virtual representations of historical time periods in history. Upcoming players were given an Alpha preview on April 27, 2008. On May 14,2008 VFK released a second Alpha preview that allowed the user to walk about a now-developed landscape and move furniture. Then on May 16, 2008 VFK had a 3rd preview which is just the same as the 2nd but a huge stonehedge and sound added. The beta version will open publicly on May 22, 2008. Game Features Like most online games, VFK will be divided into "lands".VFK will begin with Medieval, Colonial, Wild West, and Victorian lands; and an Australian Outback land will be released on June 20th. Players will be able to own in-game rooms and gardens, and design them with decorating items. Other items such as furniture, pins, charms, and character clothing will be included in the game. To possibly earn in-game money, players will be able to play mini games such as "Space Pirates", "The Fourth of July Game", checkers, and bridge. A few other ways that players will earn in game merchandise are: *Trade with other players *Constructing virtual rides *Create and play "Adventures" (quests) Safety Features Safety features in the game include a limited chat dictionary, and a strict policy that bans players who do not behave in accordance to the VFK code of conduct, also known as the "VFK Constitution". Relations to VMK Due to the closing of the Virtual Magic Kingdom, Narasopa Media created VFK to replace the game. This is why VFK will have several similarities to VMK. For instance, the VFK mini game "Space Pirates" is similar to a VMK mini game. The game's safety and customization features are similar, too. Also, the VFK "adventures" are very similar to the VMK "quests". In fact, some features of VFK are so similar to VMK, that many believe that Disney could close the game at will.
