'Vira Saturnio (pseudonym) is an italian occult writer. Born in 1981, northern Italy, he is a former veteran of the Italian Army as an Intelligence Specialist. He has a Master Degree in Philosophy and Aesthetics of Music and he is currently attending a Master Degree in History of Religions at the University of Rome - La Sapienza.
Member of the Lodge Sothis of Dragon Rouge since its foundation in 2003, he is currently active. His written works started in 2005 with the booklet The Path of the Wolf (Ur Heka, Naples 2005) and continued in 2007 with IMPERIVM (Ur Heka, Naples 2007). These two works are related with the metaphysics of war and the Traditional warrior initiation, setting up a connection between the Left hand path philosophy of Dragon Rouge and the traditional point of view of occult writers such as Julius Evola and related ones. His works probably represents the first contemporary attempt to bring the ghibelline or imperial tradition on a magical, practical and initiatory level, focusing on the concept of the inner Empire as a spiritual achievement by initiatory progress. He also focus on the philosophical, esoteric idea of an Eternal Empire and an esoteric way to perpetrate it, namely the Eternal Ghibellinism.
"It’s just about a spiritual development. From a philosophical and metaphysical perspective, Ghibellinism is based upon the Traditional belief. From a magical, alchemical and initiatory perspective, it is based upon the philosophical beliefs of the Left Hand Path.
Ghibellinism as presented in this work, is an esoteric spiritual way. It is not a religious nor a mystical path. It is based upon constant spiritual practice.
The path of Ghibellinism is a path made of dignity, nobleness, courage, boldness, equilibrium, humbleness, loyalty. But, first of all, it is a path based upon sacrifice. Sacrifice mostly for yourself and for knowledge."
He also published articles on the web and actually cooperates as co-editor and author with the italian occult magazine TVRRIS NIGRA.
Main influences in his works and philosophy are tantrism, the roman tradition, the imperial tradition, knighthood, traditional alchemy, neo-platonism.
