Vionic is a shoe brand founded in 1979 by podiatrist Phillip Vasyli. Inventing one of the first heat-moldable orthotics that could be purchased without a doctor's prescription, Vasyli created the shoe brand line to create comfort for those with foot problems including shoes made with orthotic footbeds and other features. Vionic shoes have a Vio-Motion Support which means that each shoe has biomechanical technology that is built into the insole to support the foot. The shoes are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association. They have been featured on Oprah Winfrey's Favorite Things List in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Oprah also worn Vionic shoes on both the May and August 2018 covers of O, The Oprah Magazine.
