Vi Robbins

Violet Daisy "Vi" Robbins (née Brabent) (28 February 1902 - 8 October 2014) though until her own death 4 months later at age 112 years, 222 days. She was married to Edward John Robbins and lived at Coogee, New South Wales, before retiring to a nursing facility at Randwick, New South Wales.
At the age of 100, she began volunteering at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, where she worked until 2012. and The Vi Robbins annual volunteer award was named in her honour, launched by Kingsford Smith MP, Matt Thistlethwaite. She was succeeded as the oldest living person in Australia by Ethel Farrell (born 27 November 1902).<ref name="Daily Telegraph"/>
