VERGO Pub is a quarterly, internationally-distributed magazine with the tagline, Entertaintment styles + ideas'. It focuses on entertainment urban culture, and has featured on its cover some of the most significant diverse artists and models of the last decade, including Gabrielle Union, Angelina Jolie, Jared Padalecki, Diddy, Tyra Banks, and Naomi Campbell Trevor Richard, who is still the Chairman and Editor in Chief.
History
VERGO magazine was the successor to LUX magazine, which the Bahamas-born Richard had started in 2001. When True failed after less than a year, Richard, then aged , launched VERGO, choosing the name apparently from his horoscope sign its inquisitive connotations and its similarity to the word ‘virgo’.
The first cover featured Angelina Jolie, and was distributed in the USA, France, Germany, Sweden, the US, Australia and Japan. Features
In its early years, VEGO focused principally on urban culture, and this fact is giving a a large group of up and coming urban writers and future editors a chance in media in later issue VERGO reflected more on luxury lifestyle and living in doing in so VERGO was the first magazine to feature the Wally luxury super in the later years it shifted to a broader approach, incorporating more high-fashion and travel features.
