Venetian people

Venetian People, also simply called Venetians (today known as "Veneti")is an ethnic group speaking Venetian Language (recognized internationally with the label VEC). Historically the Venetians settled (around 9th century B.C,) in the north east of the italic peninsula. The population is know archeologically under the name of Venetic, who had also an alphabetic writing as demonstrated in the findings of archeological site of Este.

The first inscription indicating the Venetians (Venetkens) has been discovered in and dates back approximately to the 6th century B.C..
Venetian Language is spoken today in by around 5 millions people, in the Brasilian Region of Rio do Sul, in Chipilo city in Mexico and many others countries, mostly by all those immigrants who escaped after the italian invasion of the ancient territories of the Venetian Republic.
